2 Baba Donates High Tech Recording Studio to Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ife.

Musical icon Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba has commissioned the multi-million Naira ultra-modern digital and analog studio that he constructed, equipped, and donated to the School of Music, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.
The launch and commissioning ceremony was hosted by the vice-chancellor of the university, Professor E.O. Ogunbodede, and was well attended by members of the university community.
The event was held on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022 at the school premises.
Recall that in 2018, 2Baba was conferred with the fellowship of the school of music OAU, making him the first person ever in the history of the school to be honored with the prestigious award.
As part of his commitment to music and education in the school and the nation, he promised to provide a well-equipped studio for the school, a promise he has fulfilled with the handover of the studio to the music department.
‘I am delighted that this dream of mine is a reality today, and I am able to fulfill my promise and support this generation in getting quality music education, said 2Baba.
The music studio is the first and only one of its kind and capacity in any higher institution in Nigeria. 2Baba also acknowledged the contribution of some of his corporate partners who contributed to the studio. He thanked Oraimo Nigeria, and Campari Nigeria, two organizations he has had a long-standing relationship with as brand ambassadors.
“Benue State University up next” he promised in an Instagram post caption. “I always wished I had music as a course in my days in secondary and tertiary schools. My goal is to build a recording studio in as many schools as I can”. He further added
