ADAMAWA 2023: Labour Party Backs Otumba Barks At Organised Labour

The Labour Party, LP, Adamawa state has lambasted the organized Labour, OL, for arrogating to itself the leadership of the party to obnoxiously disclaim Alh Umar Mustapha Madawaki, a.k.a Otumba of Ekiti as the governorship candidate of the party.
In a press release available to theGazetteNGR on Sunday as issued by the State Chairman of the Labour Party, Mr Christopher Nicholas revealed that the Organized Labour is only an association and not a registered party, it has however taken to a butterfly, in the proverb that thinks itself a bird because it can fly. Like the Zimbabweans would say, the truth is simply that even though it be a reptile, it does not matter for how many years a lizard has stayed at the bank of a river, it can never be a crocodile.
“The Labour Party in Adamawa state during her primary election held in Yola at Nurses House on Thursday June 9, 2022 has endorsed Alh Umar Mustapha Madawaki as her gubernatorial flagbearer for the 2023 general elections.
“The party’s primary election in the state was conducted under the supervision of the National Secretary of the party, Alh Umar Farouk in which Alh Umar Mustapha Madawaki was unanimously endorsed by the 5 delegates without any opposition,” the LP state chairman explained.
The LP leadership equally denied that Otumba has integrity challenge and fraudulent case before the law and the anti graft agency to settle.
“If Umar Mustapha Madawaki had legal issues of financial infraction, he would not have been cleared by the security agencies to have participated in the primary elections,” the LP leadership said.

Re: Endorsement Of Alh Umar Mustapha Madawaki As Gubernatorial Flagbearer
The Labour Party in Adamawa state during her primary election held in Yola at Nurses House on Thursday June 9, 2022 has endorsed Alh. Umar Mustapha Madawaki as her gubernatorial flagbearer for the 2023 general elections.
The party’s primary election in the state was conducted under the supervision of the National Secretary of the party, Alh Umar Farouk in which Alh. Umar Mustapha Madawaki was unanimously endorsed by the 5 delegates without any opposition.
Consequently, the party adhered strictly to the constitutional provision and extant laws of the party through which Alh Umar Mustapha Madawaki emerged as gubernatorial candidate.
However, the party noted with utmost concern and dismay, the press release issued by the Organized Labour in Adamawa State disclaiming the party’s gubernatorial flagbearer, Alh. Umar Mustapha Madawaki.
The party therefore, disassociate herself from the baseless and malicious press statement issued without the consent and approval of the Labour Party in the state.
It should be noted that the Labour Party as a registered political party with her party structures, is not the same as Organized Labour representing workers platform with its association’s structure.
Evidently, Alhaji Umar Mustapha Madawaki is not claiming the position of the Organized Labour Chairmanship in the state but a Labour Party gubernatorial flagbearer, constitutionality endorsed by the delegates to participate in the primary elections.
Therefore, if Umar Mustapha Madawaki had legal issues of financial infraction, he would not have been cleared by the security agencies to participate in the primary elections.
The Labour Party in the state calls on her teeming supporters to disregard the purported press statements and primordial consolidations.
Labour Party upholds her gubernatorial candidate, Alh Umar Mustapha Madawaki with high esteem as a technocrat, season politician, astute administrator and detribalised personality who is determined to transform Adamawa state as a governor.
Christopher Nicholas
State Chairman
Labour Party
Adamawa State.
