Adamawa Poly Reopens, Orders Students To pay a fine of N3,410 Each

As soon as the school reopens on Monday, each student at Adamawa State Polytechnic will pay a fine of N3,410 and promise to follow the rule.

On March 25, 2021, the school was closed due to student strife that resulted in the vandalism and incineration of vital infrastructure by enraged students.

The Polytechnic management decided to reopen after the committee
investigating the unfortunate incident submitted its report on Monday,
April 20, 2021 at the Polytechnic conference hall in Yola, according to a
statement by Albert Matilla, the school’s picture creator.

Each student must sign a pledge of good behavior and pay a fine of N3,410:00 for causing damage to school property.

Students from the department of Crime Prevention, Management, and
Control, on the other hand, who started the crisis would have to pay
twice the sum (N6,820:00) as a deterrent in the future.

Exams
will resume on Wednesday, April 28th – 30th, 2021, according to the
announcement, with only students who have paid their fines being
permitted to sit.
