Aso Rock in 2023: No Possibilities of An Igbo President in 2023

It may come as a shock, but the truth is that no Igbo man is prepared for the presidency. Since most of those involved enjoy playing second fiddle to the big candidates, the best they can achieve is a vice.

Even the Igbo people, let alone the rest of the world, have little faith in the main candidates.

Take a look at Rochas Okorocha, who is vying for the seat. He is now
embroiled in a legal dispute with the EFCC and the current Imo
administration. He lost the confidence of the majority of his people
because he tried to install his son-in-law as governor of Imo state, and
you can’t win without a strong base from home.

Orji Uzor Kalu is another name to mention, but he shares Okorocha’s confidence. He tried unsuccessfully to install his brother as the member of the federal house of Representatives serving Aba North and South. This also demonstrates that he has lost favor in Abia state; people do not see him as a viable presidential candidate, and he is already handicapped without the help of his own people.

Kingsley Moghalu may be the best-known name from the East, but he lacks the forum to further his ambitions, and he may also lack the financial resources to challenge those at the top. However, he is mentally sounder than any other nominee, with the exception of those we don’t know because they have yet to show us that they are involved.

The important thing for Igbos to realize is that feelings do not win elections. Emotional politics will still hold them in the background.
