Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani’ Declaration

Senator Binani announced his desire to run for governor of Adamawa State in March.

Binani, who is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and now represents the Adamawa Central Senatorial Zone in the National Assembly, said in a statement that she will seek the party’s ticket to pursue her dream.

Binani stated in her declarative statement, ‘A Call to Serve, A Call to Duty: The Journey Has Just Begun,’ that she made her declaration after the strain on her got too much in the last several months.

“I reflected and prayed over it and consulted widely from across all the 21 local government areas of the state and arrived at the conclusion that hundreds of calls cannot be wrong,” she stated.

“I formally declare my intention to contest for the office of Governor of Adamawa State, Insha Allah,” Binani said after claiming to have haken to the voice of Adamawa people to show interest in the Governorship.

Binani, who stated that Adamawa State has reached adulthood after 31 years of existence but still has a long way to go in terms of development, stressed that she is willing to help bring the state ahead.

Binani emphasized that her capacity to serve has become well known, recalling that she first served her state as a member of the House of Representatives and now as a Senator.

She claimed that her performance as a member of the House of Representatives prompted people to urge her to run for Senate in 2019, and that since then, she had been serving to the best of her ability and asking what more she could do not only for her Senatorial constituency but for the entire state of Adamawa.

This, Binani claims, was a driving force behind her decision to run for Governor of Adamawa State.
