Adamawa Government Embarks on Ambitious Model Schools Project Across State
In a significant stride towards educational reform, the Adamawa State Government has set in motion the wheels for the establishment of model schools spanning all 21 Local Government Areas within the state.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri made this announcement on Friday, prior to an exclusive briefing and presentation to the State’s Local Government Chairmen, along with several government officials, facilitated by a seasoned Consultant tasked with overseeing the implementation of the proposed Model Schools.
Speaking from the hallowed halls of the Council Chambers at Government House Yola, the Governor emphasized that his administration has placed educational revitalization at the forefront of its agenda since assuming office in 2019.
Governor Fintiri underscored the pivotal role education plays in the development of any society, affirming that his Government will spearhead the construction of model Nursery, Primary, and Junior Secondary Schools in each of the 21 Local Government Areas within the State.
He further expounded that this initiative aligns seamlessly with the comprehensive revival strategy devised for the Educational Sector under his administration’s stewardship.
Revealing the blueprint for future endeavours, Governor Fintiri divulged that subsequently, a model senior secondary school will be established in each of the three Senatorial zones, spanning the northern, central, and southern territories of the state.
In a call to action, he implored the Local Government Chairmen to actively engage in the discourse and offer constructive criticism during the Consultant’s presentation, thereby ensuring that any necessary adjustments are made to refine the proposed Model Schools framework within the State.
This ambitious undertaking signifies a resolute commitment towards transforming the educational landscape of Adamawa State, promising a brighter future for generations to come. As the machinery is set into motion, the government’s vision for a model education system is poised to become a tangible reality, echoing progress and prosperity throughout the region.
