Gov. Zulum dissolves the Borno State Executive Council

The Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum has agreed to the breakup of the Borno State Executive Council.

The dissolution was announced in a statement signed by Danjuma Ali, permanent secretary, administration and general services, on behalf of the Secretary to the State Government, and made accessible to journalists by the Governor’s spokesperson from the Government House in Maiduguri’s press unit.
The members were told to delegate their responsibilities to their ministries’ permanent secretaries.
In the statement, Zulum said that dissolving the EXCO is the goal to make it possible for members of the EXCO who want to participate in upcoming APC primaries and congresses to do so legally.
People in Zulum’s executive council made innumerable contributions while he was in office, according to the statement. He thanked them and wished them luck in their future jobs.

In a new development, Governor Zulum has a statement issued Friday 6th declared a no sanitation day.

The statement says; “be informed that for the sake of the 2022 UTME and more especially the exams holding in Borno State on Saturday,7th May,2022 which coincides with the Monthly Environmental Sanitation in Maiduguri on that day, the good government of Borno State has graciously obliged my appeal to cancel the Environmental Sanitation in Maiduguri on same Saturday, 7th May,2022 implying that there will be free flow of vehicles that will in turn enable the candidates scheduled for exam at 7:00am on same Saturday, 7th May, 2022 to gain easy access to their respective centres on that day.”
