Hans Essaadi Appointed new CEO of Nigeria Breweries Plc.

Mr Hans Essaadi has been appointed as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Breweries Plc by the Board of Directors, beginning July 31, 2021.

The hiring of Mr Essaadi follows the departure of the present Managing Director/CEO, Mr Jordi Borrut Bel, who will complete his assignment at the firm on July 30, 2021, according to a statement issued by the firm’s secretary, Uaboi Agbebaku.

Mr Bel resigned in order to pursue another opportunity within the Heineken Group; his resignation was approved by the Board and will take effect at the close of business on July 30, 2021.

Mr. Essaadi, the CEO-elect, is currently the Managing Director of Al Haram Beverages, Egypt’s Heineken Operating Company (‘OpCo’). In 1991, he began working for the Heineken Group as a Sales Representative. He progressed through the ranks to the current position he holds, serving in numerous leadership roles and nations along the way.

Company, and to continue the turnaround work started by Mr. Borrut Bel’ the company said in a statement on his recent appointment as MD/CEO elect.
