In Kogi, an Edo Senator eludes kidnappers by a whisker

Senator Francis Alimikhena, who represents Edo North in the National Assembly, was attacked by kidnappers on the Osara – Lokoja Road on his way to Abuja.

Whiskers’ convoy was targeted by the kidnappers who managed to get away.

The kidnappers opened fire on the convoy several times, from Osara to
Kabba Junction near Lokoja, injuring his aides and police officers.

Alimikhena’s
aides and police officers were rushed to the Kogi State Specialist
Hospital in Lokoja, where they are in safe condition.

However,
DSP William Ayah, PPRO Kogi State Command, could not confirm the report
at the time of publication, claiming that the command lacked information
about the incident.
