JUST IN: Buhari decorates Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Farouk Yahaya

According to the Nigerian News Agency (NAN), Yahaya succeeds late Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, who was killed together with 10 other military commanders in a military jet accident in Kaduna on May 21.
Before his current position, Yahaya, a native of Skokto State, was the Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai, a counter-insurgency operation in the northeast.
Members of the Federal Executive Council, as well as security chiefs such as Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Lucky Irabor, Chief of the Air, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao, and Chief of Defence Intelligence (CDI), Maj. Gen. Sunday Adebayo, were present at the ceremony, according to NAN.
Yusuf Bichi, Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), and Usman Baba, Inspector General of Police (IGP), were among the others.
