Kanye West and I broke the ‘Kardashian Curse’ – French Montana

The “Kardashian curse” is a phenomenon that is casually discussed in popular culture these days. It effectively means that anyone who has dated a Kardashian-Jenner sister will have their career suffer as a result of invading the Dash empire.

When you look at the slew of rappers and athletes the family has dated, the numbers don’t add up, but it doesn’t stop the people from believing what they want to believe.

French Montana dated Khloe Kardashian from 2013 to 2014, before NBA players Tristan Thompson and James Harden.

On Friday (May 20), French released his new tune “Alcatraz,” which is named after the Bay Area prison island where he claims he and Kanye West broke the “Kardashian curse.”

He raps, “I feel like [Kanye] through the car crash/Feel like Ye ’cause me and Ye killed the curse from the Kardashians.”

Montana hasn’t been personally associated with the Kardashians in eight years, so don’t expect a reaction from Khloe.

Kendall Jenner was even blamed for boyfriend Devin Booker’s and the Phoenix Suns’ dismal performance after they were eliminated by the underdog Dallas Mavericks earlier this month, with fans blaming the “Kardashian curse” on her.

Last year, Kendall addressed the curse on a Keeping Up With The Kardashians reunion episode, downplaying it by urging the guys to take more responsibility.

“What I don’t like about this narrative is that the blame is on us. I think the men need to take that responsibility,” she stated.

“I think that we’re all extremely giving and caring and loving women. And when there is a man in our lives, we, like, give everything to them, and as a family we all love them so much.”
