Lawmaker Donates two Boats to Communities in Niger, Gives 200 Students Scholarships

Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, who represents Niger State’s Niger East Senatorial District and chairs the Senate Committee on Senate Services, has gifted two contemporary passenger boats to riverine villages in Munya Local Government Area.

The contribution came after a recent boating accident that claimed the lives of 35 people.

The Senator made the announcement while giving his Sallah address in
Minna, where he expressed his condolences to the victims’ families.

The two boats, which are fitted with contemporary amenities, are intended to reduce the number of boating accidents in certain areas.

Senator Musa also announced the first round of scholarships to 200 undergraduates in his area, as part of his efforts to promote poor students’ education and to commemorate his 56th birthday.

The
politician emphasized the need of peaceful cohabitation among
residents, which he believes is critical to the state’s and country’s
growth.

He advised Muslims to absorb the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh)’s qualities of sacrifice and self-denial (pbuh).
