On Thursday, authorities were looking into a video that showed legendary heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson, hitting a fellow first-class passenger boarding an aircraft at San Francisco International Airport.

Tyson can be seen repeatedly striking the unidentified man in the head with his back against the back of his seat, drawing blood. The video was first released by TMZ, which claimed it was shot aboard a JetBlue flight going to Florida.

According to representatives for Tyson, on a flight with an angry customer who began harassing him and tossed a water bottle at him while he was in his seat, an email.

The man can be seen standing over Tyson’s seat, waving his arms and talking animatedly before the fight. Tyson is sitting still.

Officials say San Francisco police responded to a violent incident on a plane at the airport’s domestic terminal at about 10 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to the police, officers responded on Thursday and detained two people who were thought to be involved in the incident. One person was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the scene. That person only gave a few basic facts about the incident, and he or she refused to help the police with their investigation anymore.

According to the statement, both were released pending further investigation.

When Sarah Burchfield was on another plane, she saw the man Tyson hit at an airport bar being loud and obnoxious.

Burchfield claimed that when she boarded the plane, she passed Tyson’s seat in the first-class section, and a belligerent man sat right behind him with whom he was interacting. She said she heard the fight in first-class a short time afterward.

The video was shared with the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, which has jurisdiction over the airport, according to San Francisco police.

Officials from the sheriff’s office say they won’t be giving out any more information about the event because it’s still being looked into.

JetBlue did not immediately respond to an email requesting more information.

After retiring from boxing, Tyson, 55, has worked as an actor, a podcaster, and a cannabis entrepreneur. According to SFGate, he was in San Francisco for the annual 420 cannabis event in Golden Gate Park, where he was pushing his Tyson 2.0 cannabis brand.

In 1987, at the age of 20, Tyson became the world’s youngest heavyweight champion. He won 50 fights in his career, 44 of them via knockout.

Tyson spent three years in prison after being convicted of rape in the 1990s. In that case, he has maintained his innocence.

Boxer Mike Tyson was banned from the sport for a while after he famously bit off part of Evander Holyfield’s ear in 1997 during a fight.
