Youth Advocacy Group Strongly Advocates Greater Representation in Adamawa State Government

Youth Advocacy Group; Movement for Progressive Adamawa Youths Calls for Greater Representation in Adamawa State Government
Concerns about the need for increased youthful participation in the Adamawa State Government were voiced during a press conference hosted by the Movement For Progressive Adamawa Youths.
The convener, Zubairu Abubakar, through the group, applauded the administration for its current efforts to ease the State’s transportation problems; however, they also voiced displeasure over the lack of response to their appeal for the inclusion of young people inside the cabinet.
The organisation opened the news conference, which was attended by the media and involved citizens, by thanking the governor and the government of Adamawa state for their latest donation of ten buses intended to ease locals’ transportation challenges. They applauded this concept because they noticed how it could improve human lives and lower the nation’s excessive transportation expenses.
The Movement for Progressive Adamawa Youths’ demand for more young representation in the state’s government, however, was the key issue at hand. A sociopolitical and youth advocacy group argued for the appointment of people in their 25s to 39s to the state cabinet a few weeks ago. This invitation was issued in acknowledgement of the enormous contributions that young people may make to influencing political climate and governmental policy.

However, the Governor’s handlers decided to launch a campaign against people who voted for him in the 2023 gubernatorial election, labelling them as supporters of the opposition, rather than dealing with the problem.
The organisation made it clear that their aid for youths being represented in government was no longer influenced by individual hobbies but rather by the general welfare of the nation. They urged the Fintiri Continuity for Good Governance (FCGG) group that keeping the administration responsible should not be confused with rebellion and opposed the use of divisive methods by some of the Governor’s aides. It is a vital detail of a democratic machine that works well, making sure openness, justice, and the green provision of public goods.

The group emphasised that the government has to make honest tries and maintain a constant dedication to assembling positive recognition. They emphasized that leadership have to be primarily based on belief and religion inside the will of the people to be successful and asked the government to just accept accountability for its deeds and guidelines.
The Movement For Progressive Adamawa Youths urged Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to keep his word and make sure that young people are involved in the creation and implementation of policies. They emphasised the value of youth involvement in politics, stressing the way it contributes new viewpoints and progressive thoughts in addition to representing the worries and pursuits of the younger era.
The organisation affirmed its willpower to uphold the authorities’s pledges while additionally pledging its continuous aid to them. Invoking blessings on the youth of Adamawa State, the governor and government of Adamawa State, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria, they concluded their news conference.
