Osun Election: Adeleke is positive about winning “INEC has improved”

Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) nominee for governor of Osun State, is optimistic about his chances of success.

He made this comment on Saturday morning not long after casting his ballot in Ede North Local Government Area’s Ward 2 at Polling Unit 9.
The governorship contender described his chances of winning the race as [quotation]big time.” “Very confident. My people love me, Osun people love me.[/quotation]
Senator Adeleke cast his ballot around two minutes after arriving at his voting location in Abogunde/Sagba Ede North at around 8:46 a.m. He was accredited by the on-duty election officials at around 8:50 a.m.
At the polling place, he encountered a crowd that was in line, but he went right to the front to cast his vote.
The PDP governorship candidate responded, [quotation]”You can see me, I love my people, and that would not cease when I am elected,”[/quotation] when asked why he skipped the line.
[quotation]“They asked me to come; my people invited me to go there.”[/quotation]
After casting his ballot, he spoke with the media and praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its work.
He claims that everything is fine and that has been the case based on the data he has obtained from other voting districts.
[quotation name=’ Adeleke added’]“I think INEC has improved. Whichever way, if they could not capture your fingerprint, they will get you captured through facial recognition, and that is faster. The turnout is very impressive.” [/quotation]
He expressed his expectation that vote-buying would not occur since they wanted this election to serve as a point of contact for the 2023 election. They are being observed by everyone, and this will serve as a test case for them he noted.
[quotation]So, let Osun people decide who they want. They (INEC and police) promised that the election will be transparent, free, credible, and fair.[/quotation]
