According to reports, Peter Orji, a native of Uruagu in the Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State, killed his elder brother, Godwin Orji, for allegedly disconnecting his power due to unpaid electricity bill.

The incident reportedly took place on Tuesday in Okpunoeze, Uruagu, following a contentious debate between the two brothers over the disconnect.

According to information obtained by Daily Trust, the altercation started because the suspect (Peter) didn’t pay his monthly payment of 1,500 electricity bill, which caused the electrical supply to his flat to be cut off.

He apparently confronted his older brother, who shared the same compound as him, as a result.

The argument got out of hand to the point where the defaulter, Peter, snapped, ran to his room, grabbed his rifle, and shot his older brother, Godwin, according to a source.
