Godwin Offiono Promises Quality Representation and Laws to Promote Good Governance in 10th Assembly

Godwin Offiono, the member-elect for Ogoja/Yala federal constituency, has expressed optimism that the 10th National Assembly will create a new narrative by making laws that will add value to society, especially in critical aspects of governance. Speaking to newsmen on the sidelines of the 10th National Assembly Induction Programme in Abuja, Offiono said that the new members-elect have exhibited the zeal and interest to make legislation that will add value to society in areas such as agriculture, education, security, and other basic necessities.

Promoting Good Governance

Offiono emphasized that the new lawmakers are optimistic that they will make a change in the 10th assembly, as they are determined to promote good governance. He noted that quality representation has been propagated and projected in their interactions and that they are committed to making laws that will add value to society.

Offiono also emphasized that the 10th National Assembly will come up with laws that will add value to society, especially in critical aspects of governance. He expressed his confidence that the assembly will make a difference and create a new narrative by making legislation that will add value to society.

Electing Someone with the Capacity to Perform

In the race for speakership, Offiono said that his colleagues will only elect someone with the capacity to perform irrespective of the zoning arrangement of the ruling party. He noted that he has always been an apologist of excellence and that they are looking at who can do the job.

According to Offiono, they have had interactions with a couple of aspirants yearning to be speakers in the 10th assembly. He noted that they have looked at about five people and that he has taken a position on where to go, irrespective of the zoning arrangement by the ruling party.

Delivering Democratic Dividends

Offiono thanked his constituents for the confidence they reposed in him by voting for him massively during the last general election. He promised to deliver democratic dividends and quality representation to his constituents at all times.

Offiono emphasized that he is committed to promoting good governance and that he will do everything within his power to ensure that his constituents benefit from the dividends of democracy. He noted that he is determined to make a difference and that he will work tirelessly to achieve his goals.
