Shawwal Moon Sighted in Niger
The Nigerien government has announced the month of Shawwal, which marks the end of the country's fasting month of Ramadan.
The baby moon was confirmed by Prime Minister Ouhoumoudou Mahamadou.
And in a statement to citizens he said the moon was seen in three regions of Niger.
This comes after Nigeria, neighboring Niger announced that the moon was not seen and declared Thursday as the day of Salat.
