Sen Abbo Empowers Young Entrepreneurs

Senator Ishaku Abbo, who represents Adamawa North Senatorial District, fulfilled his pledge of empowering youths and their businesses on Friday, September 9th by providing capital to youths and women to start medium and small scale businesses.

Abbo, who organised the SIA Sunday giveaway on his official Facebook page, gave out 200k to five lucky winners who had written a very good business proposal, compenseting other five female participants with 100k each..

According to the lawmaker, Out of over 3000 submissions, the selection committee led by Mrs Vanco Falina chose one hundred business ideas, gradually screening arriving at 50, where a raffle draw was initiated to pick winners.

The five major beneficiaries, who come from mostly Adamawa North, Adamawa Central and Adamawa South were transferred two hundred thousand Naira each  including the special women category for hundred thousand Naira, respectively, to invest in their various businesses.

Sen Abbo also vowed to organise a Business Proposal Writing Workshop for Adamawa residents and named Mrs Falina Vanco as the committee’s chairperson.

He said he will work with the Federal Ministry of Youth, Trade, and Investment to help more young people and women start businesses.
