Senate Passes Bill to Establish Federal Medical Centers
the passage of the bill creating the National Dermatological Hospital, Garkida, Oloriegbe highlighted that the hospital would provide diagnosis, cure, rehabilitation, cosmetic, and treatment of all skin, hair, and other disorders needing dermatological care
The National Dermatology Hospital, Garkida, Adamawa State, was approved by the upper chamber at the same time.
Following the Committee on Health’s assessment of two distinct reports, both proposals were passed (Secondary and Tertiary).
“provide an enabling law to regulate the development and management of
the Federal Medical Centres with the aim of setting standards for
RECOMMENDED ARTICLESrendering intensive, effective, and efficient healthcare services to the generality of Nigerians†among other things.
He went on to say that, in addition to offering diagnostic and treatment equipment and facilities, the Federal Medical Centres will also act as advanced healthcare training schools and institutions.
“It will provide laboratories, research, and experimental stations
necessary for efficient national health service deliveryâ€, the lawmaker
said.
