Simi’s Personality

Simi began her musical career as a chorister at church, followed by a brief stint as a gospel singer before releasing her debut studio album, Ogaju, in 2008. Simi signed with X3M Music in 2014. She released “Tiff,” which was well-received and was nominated for Best Alternative Song at the 2015 Headies.

Simisola, her award-winning second studio album, was released on September 8, 2017. On April 19, 2019, she released her third studio album, Omo Charlie Champagne, Vol. 1, to coincide with her thirty-first birthday.

In February 2019, she departed X3M Music to start her own record label, Studio Brat, which she launched in June 2019. She is presently working with Platoon.

Simi was among the key judges at the recently concluded Nigerian Idols where Progress emerged the winner, carting home prizes worth a 100 million.
