The terrorists, according to Tribune who are thought to be Ansaru members, also threatened to kidnap other well-known Nigerians and wreak havoc throughout the nation.
The organisation recently uploaded a new video, which is currently viral on social media sites and shows the terrorists beating the train’s remaining male passengers.
After being flogged, the male passengers were instructed to line up in front of the female passengers.
A bearded passenger who was requested to speak on their behalf was seen in the two minutes, 50-second film explaining that the terrorists told them they did not want to hold them as hostages for more than a week, but rather for the Federal Government’s nonchalant.
In light of the federal government’s failure to guarantee their release, he urged the international community and the UN to step in and help.
In the background, a senior citizen, aged between 85 and 90, could be heard yelling “Allah ya isa” while denouncing the federal government in Hausa (meaning We leave you with God).
She bemoaned the fact that they had supported the APC and President Muhammadu Buhari in the vain hope that the country and the north would be secure.
One of the terrorists also bragged in the video that they would kidnap President Buhari, Nasiru El-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna State, and other notable Nigerians, threatening to destabilise the nation if their demands were not satisfied.
The attackers reportedly threatened to execute and sell some of the captive passengers from the Kaduna train.
“This is our message to the government of Nigeria and just as you have seen these people here, by God’s grace, you will see your leaders; your senators and governors will come before us. These ones you are seeing here, we will keep some as our slaves and sell them off just as our Imam told you in the past.
“Just like the Chibok girls that were sold off, we will equally sell these ones as slaves. If you don’t adhere to our demands, we will kill the ones we need to kill and sell the remaining. By God’s grace, El-Rufai, Buhari, we will bring you here.”
