However, the free loan system is breaking families apart, as one man in Yola, Adamawa State, has taken his lovely wife to court, requesting an account of the #20,000 she got.
Civil Area Court I in Yola, where he is requesting that the court order
his wife to pay him the amount of #20,000 she earned in January,
February, and March of this year.
He told the court that they had

to order her to give him the whole amount because the account was in
his name.
The complainant also named his father-in-law, Mohammed
Buba, as a second defendant in the lawsuit, alleging that his
father-in-law had been refusing to allow his wife to return to their
marital home for the past 16 months.
wife had been with her parents for the past 16 months for no apparent
cause, and that all attempts to get her back to his house had failed
miserably, and he begged the court to order his father-in-law to allow
his wife to return to her matrimonial home.
The wife, on the
other hand, disputed the responsibility, claiming that the money does
not come under his name and that the stipends are provided to women to
help them expand their businesses, and that it is her portrait that is
on the account, not his.
The
second claimant, for his part, vigorously denied declining to allow his
daughter to return to her matrimonial home, claiming that the charge
levied against him by the husband is false and that he is prepared to
prove it to the court.
The judge, presided over by Honourable
Musa A. Shanu, adjourned the case until April 8, 2021, after hearing all
of the parties involved.
