UEFA: Chelsea Qualified for Champions League Despite Losing 2:1 to Aston Villa.

On the Final Match Day of the 2020/2021 Premier League Season, Chelsea
have qualified to play in the UEFA Champions League next season despite
loosing 2:1 to Aston Villa, all thanks to Tottenham Hotspur 4:2
thrashing of Leicester City.

Chelsea, Liverpool and Leicester were battling for the 3rd and 4th places in the premier league table as of the last match day.

Chelsea
entered the final match with 67 points against Leicester City and
Liverpool’s 66, Both Liverpool and Leicester will qualify if Chelsea
failed to win.

Liverpool played against Crystal Palace and Won
2:0 which gave them the 3rd slot leaving Chelsea and Leicester City to
Battle for the 4th Place.

Aston Villa took the lead at Villa’s
park in 43rd Minute through a Batrand Traore’s header thanks to a
perfect corner kick from team mate Target.

The game went out of
Chelsea’s hand when El-Ghazi scored a penalty kick in the 52nd minute,
although Ben Chilwell pulled one back for Chelsea in the 70th minute
Chelsea failed to equalize, but thanks to Tottenham win against
Leicester City with see them (Chelsea) moved to the 4th place.
