After the recent flood in Lamurde, Demsa, and Numan Federal constituency swamped homes and farmlands worth millions of Naira, Vrati Nzonzo the flagbearer of the All Progressive Party (APC) in the Federal constituency gave food, non-food goods, and cash to the affected communities.
The APC’s Hon. Vrati Nzonzo campaigned at Opalo, Ngbakowo, Gamadio, Bolki, Vulpi, Bare, Imburu, Borrong, Mbula Kuli, Dilli, Dong, and Dwam, among other places, in the Lamurde, Demsa, and Numan Federal Constituency.
All sixteen impacted communities in the three local government areas of Adamawa State received 600 sacks of grain. The APC candidate has pledged to continue to assist, pray for, and work with the afflicted people to put an end to floods in the local government districts.
The APC candidate claims that without immediate assistance from well-meaning people, the situation could get worse because people might experience multiple crises at the height of the lean season and significant displacement might still happen with unhealthy coping mechanisms like hunger, illnesses, or child-begging.
Vrati Nzonzo urged the Federal Government to resolve the issue of flooding in the Lamurde, Demsa, and Numan Federal constituency once and for all. However, he made a commitment to the decent citizens of his district that, should he be elected in 2023, he would lobby the green chamber for potential drainage to end the problem.
However, he acknowledges the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Barr Boss Mustapha’s outstanding efforts in taking into account the situation of the residents of the Lamurde, Demsa, and Numan Federal constituency while they were in need of aid.
According to Nzonzo, the flood, which has been a yearly issue for the three local governments, has throughout the years devastated lives and property worth millions of Naira, and a sizable sum of money is required to permanently resolve it.
The affected people in the three local government areas of the State thanked Hon. Vrati Nzonzo for helping them amid the crisis that wracked the neighborhoods. They promised to back him in the general elections in 2023.
