Zulum has approved 500 resettlement dwellings for the Logumani village

On Sunday, the governor of Borno state, Professor Banagana Umara Zulum, gave the go-ahead for 500 resettlement houses to be built for people who are moving back.
When the governor visited Logumani, a hamlet in Borno‘s Ngala local government area, he gave his consent.
Because of what Boko Haram rebels have done, the people of Logumani have been forced to move for the past seven years.
The governor also said that he would help the people of Logumani rebuild their homes, which had been destroyed by insurgents. He also gave permission for the State Rural Water Supply Agency (RUWASA) to drill a new deep aquifer well to meet the water needs of the IDPs who were going back home.

During his visit, the governor talked to people from the area, some of whom are hiding out in Dikwa town, and talked about how to get them back to their families.
On Saturday, Zulum took a similar trip to Kirawa town in the Gwoza local government region, where he helped move almost 2,500 households.
Before Kirawa, Zulum had visited dozens of settlements in the state’s northern, middle, and southern regions.
Most of the trips have been about building, monitoring, or giving out newly built resettlement homes, giving cash and food aid, and giving farmers agricultural packs.

Engr. Bukar Talba, who used to be the commissioner of agriculture and ran for a seat in the House of Representatives as an APC candidate, was there, as were the heads of important government agencies that work on construction and reconstruction, water supply, jobs, and empowering people in general.
